About this site
Sixty-two guides to phones, computers, accounts and software, written for people who want to understand what is happening rather than follow instructions blindly.
How the guides are written
Mechanism first. Interfaces change every year. The reason storage fills, the reason a second factor stops one attack and not another, the reason deletion is not erasure — those do not change, and knowing them means you can work out the current menu yourself.
Version-specific instructions are marked as such. Where a sequence of taps genuinely matters, it is given, with a note about what it applies to.
The wrong advice is named. A great deal of widely repeated guidance is obsolete or was never true. Closing apps does not save battery, registry cleaners do nothing, multiple overwrite passes are unnecessary on modern drives. Guides say so, because the reader has probably already read the opposite somewhere.
Length matches the answer. Some things need a thousand words. None of them need three thousand.
Editorial position
No affiliate links, no sponsored content, no vendor material, no ranked "best of" lists ordered by commission. Where products are discussed, it is in terms of what they do and what to check.
Nothing here assists unauthorised access to accounts, devices or services, or the tracking and identification of people against their wishes.
Corrections
Technology guidance ages. If something here is wrong or out of date, please say so and it will be corrected in place.

About this domain
This address previously hosted a very different site — a large volume of short search-oriented pages published between 2016 and 2024.
None of that content is here. Some of it should not have been anywhere: it included pages publishing the telephone numbers of real women for strangers to contact, and pages distributing access to other people's paid subscriptions. Those pages, and everything else from the previous site, have been retired rather than redirected, so old links return a clear "gone" response instead of leading somewhere unrelated.
If you arrived expecting something from the old site, it is not here and it is not coming back.
